Wash the seed to be sprouted in cold water, soak for 8 hours prior to ‘sowing’. For Sprouts place seeds either in a jar which can be covered with a pierced lid or a clean cloth, or use a seed sprouter. Rinse the seeds with tepid water twice a day and drain. Harvest after approx. 5-6 days, dependent on temperature, when 0.5-2.5cm long. For ‘Micro-Greens’ use a small seed tray or container with drainage holes. Place approx. 2.5cm (1”) of seed compost in the bottom and sprinkle seed evenly on the surface. Cover seeds with a fine layer of compost. Place on a warm light windowsill out of direct sunlight, keep moist at all times.
